Happy New Year...a little late.

I decided that I spend all this time reading blogs of other people in the scrapbooking and photography world, that it is time for me to keep more up to date on my own scrapbooking blog. So, here goes...

I am proud to say that I completed my first ever Daily December album thanks to Ali Edwards for her daily inspiration. I will post pictures of some of my pages later today. I am so thrilled with the final product that I definitely will be doing it again next year! I am tempted to create my book now so I am ready to go next year (but that may be a little too much in advance!)

This year with my seventh grade class, I decided to do a project at the start of the new year. I assigned a "Best of 2010" project and had 25 journaling questions for the students to choose ten to answer and then am requiring a visual to go along with the responses. So, of course, I decided to create a model for them to see. I created a layout with my responses and am just trying to figure out if my written responses (aka journaling) will go on the actual layout or if I will have to place that somewhere separate. So, once I figure that out, I will post pictures of that layout too.

I am thrilled that I found a way to connect my love of scrapbooking into my language arts classroom. I am going to look for more creative ways to do this throughout the year! Until later when I get a chance to post my pictures...

  1. That is an awesome project -- lucky students! Kudos on finishing the December Daily album. I've started a DD album twice, but I can't seem to keep up with it on a daily basis.
